Let's Go

What would you do if you were scared for you life? When I was a little kid my mom took my brother, three of my cousins (Monte, Cartees, Omar) and me to a park. When we arrived at the park it was mid-day, and we was ready to play baseball. We had all the equipment needed a bat, a ball, gloves and more.

After playing baseball for a while, it begin to get dark. There was lights at the park, but they only came on in certain spots. So, we moved to get under the lights and started to play baseball again. A big problem we had was depending on where the ball landed it was hard to spot. So, if the ball was hit to far or missed when it was pitched it was hard to find. Since we only had one ball, we had to make sure we kept up with it.

On this play I was up to bat and my cousin Monte pitched the ball to me. I hit the ball, but it landed in a horrible spot off to the side of the field. It was a horrible spot because it landed in darkness. We knew what direction the ball went in, but we could hardly see anything over there. So, as we went over to get the ball, we all stopped in our tracks. Off in the distance right next to the ball we saw a creature that begin to move. We had no idea what kind of creature it was, so we just stood there. Out of nowhere the creature picked up the ball and it scared us to our core. We took off and headed straight for the car. On our way to the car Monte scooped up Omar and keep on running.

Us terrified of the creature we saw in the distance didn’t know what else to do but run. We headed start for the car but us all running to the car startled my mom. That’s when she did the unthinkable, locked the doors. So, we are all outside the car banging on the car for her to let us in. After her noticing us terrified she unlocked the doors and we all hoped in the car. She started the car up and we told her let’s go.

All in all, it was a scary experience for me and my family. It did teach me a valuable lesson that scary things always happen at night. Which is why at night I think the best place for me to be is inside.

In my next blog I will be talking about my trip to Houston Texas. I traveled to Houston for my cousin’s birthday and had a lot of fun. Traveling is a lot of fun and there is no time like the present. Which is why you need to sit down with your family/friends and plan your next vacation spot.
