I am currently a student at Saint Leo University. I have been going to Saint Leo for two and a half years pursuing my bachelor’s in communication. In my time at Saint Leo University, I enjoyed the environment that has been created.
At Saint Leo classrooms are smaller which helps you learn better. This is because if I was in a class with 75 people, I would never raise my hand. Which means my questions would never be answered and I would be confused on what is being taught. Also, smaller classrooms allow you to develop a closer connection with your professor. Professors I had from two years ago still remember me and conversations we had. Lastly, professors at Saint Leo have an open-door policy which allows me to get the extra help I need, I have been to professors’ office more than I can count.
The other thing that makes the environment at Saint Leo great is the students. The students are nice and helpful to you. When strangers act that way to you it forces you to return the favor by stepping out of your comfort zone and engaging with others. For example, when I was walking in the hallway at Saint Leo someone invited me to an event that was happening later that night. I was nervous about going to the event because I knew I wouldn’t know anyone there. Then I thought to myself if she was nice enough to invite me, I should be nice enough to go. At this event I enjoyed myself and met a lot of new people who still talk to me to this day.
At Saint Leo professors seem like they want to be approached which makes it easier to communicate with them. Students want you to be involved with what is happening at the school which makes it easier to get involved. I accredit this great environment to the Saint Leo board who hires the right people for the job.
All in all, Saint Leo University has had a positive impact on my life and can do the same for you. If you do not attend Saint Leo University just know the environment that you are in is very important because your environment shapes who you are.
In my next blog I will talk about being scared out of your mind. In life there is so many things to be scared about heights, spiders and more. When these scary things present themselves, people will have a natural response. The thing is what will you do when you are scared for your life.

@Mario Wallace this is amazing to know that after your years of Being in college in your senior year you have a lot to say about and to show for it. I am truly happy for you.
